clary sage
Although it has similar properties to common sage, clary sage is more commonly used in aromatherapy due to its lower toxicity level. It has been used for treating menstrual  complaints and can be very beneficial during the menopause.

The herb with white or pale lilac flower petals end in a hard point (skeria in Greek means "hardness"), and large, wrinkled leaves on pink-tinged stems.

A strongly fragrant infusion made from the astringent and antiseptic leaves is an effective cleanser for normal-to-oily skin. Cultivated worldwide, the highest quality oil comes from France, Britain, and Morocco.
